Hoping you leave it at that. You know your son deserves to be on SSI. So just keep on reapplying. Hopefully it wont take as many tries. Or you don't have to hire an lawyer. When he does get his SSI you will receive any monies from the first time you applied. It will be back dated to the first application. Also I found out that the lawyer was paid for out of the back funds you would of received. So check into that. It always seams the ones who need it the most have to fight for it and that is just wrong. Kayden is most certainly disabled. If you appeal and lose again, you can then request a hearing before an administrative law judge, and then it is out of the states hands, and the judge will make the final decision. They rarely approve disability cases on the first application, you have to try again and again. This is because the economy is poor, and people are trying to get any type of assistance possible, even claiming disability. I know it is a lot of waiting, and fighting the system, but this is how they weed out serious cases, and no so serious cases. Keep fighting, and keep your head up. I also have hydro and epi and I have met all of my developmental goals, but I am still disabled. Having hydro is having a disability. So, if you have a shunt and you have lived for the past 40 years with the same shunt and it has not failed, does that define you as not being disabled, but when it does fail, you are now disabled, all because it is affecting your life in the here and now? caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18279256824478354634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5955589237264793823.post-27046259309832915012013-09-19T05:31:20.106-07:002013-09-19T05:31:20.106-07:00Wow!
